Adept Technology, Inc. announced that Glenn Hewson has been named its senior vice president of global marketing. He will lead the company’s product management, product marketing and marketing teams on a world-wide basis. As a seasoned technology industry executive, Hewson brings more than 25 years of product line and marketing experience as well as a track record of building high-performance teams to Adept. Most recently he served as vice president of global marketing for Avure Technologies where he reinvigorated the marketing process, introduced new products that became significant revenue contributors and partnered with the sales team to grow operations worldwide. He has a strong foundation from IBM and previous to Avure, served in leadership roles at several Gores Group portfolio companies. “Glenn’s unique blend of managing product strategy through the growth curve with organizations ranging from mid-tier to large enterprise will be invaluable to Adept as we reinvigorate our product lines and continue to expand our business into key vertical markets,” said Rob Cain, president and chief executive officer. “Glenn is an excellent fit with our leadership team and has been acting in a advisory capacity at Adept since November.
