Ati Motors Unveils Sherpa XT Lite: Revolutionizing material handling with advanced autonomous electric tug

Innovative Vehicle Delivers Unprecedented Efficiency and Safety for Material Handling Operations, Featuring Advanced 3D Navigation and Industry 4.0 Compatibility

Ati Motors has announced the launch of its groundbreaking Sherpa XT Lite, a state-of-the-art autonomous electric tug designed to transform material handling operations in warehouses and factories. This innovative self-driving vehicle combines cutting-edge technology with practical design to address the evolving needs of the material handling industry.

The Sherpa XT Lite boasts an impressive 3500 lb (1500 kg) tugging capacity, enabling efficient movement of heavy trolley payloads across facilities. Its compact size of 55 x 25 x 43 in (1395 × 640 × 1096 mm) allows for easy navigation in narrow aisles and tight spaces common in warehouses, making it an ideal solution for optimizing space utilization.

Safety is paramount in material handling environments, and the Sherpa XT Lite delivers with its advanced 3D Lidar and Camera sensors. These features enhance safety by accurately detecting obstacles and avoiding collisions with inventory or personnel, ensuring a secure working environment. Designed to withstand various industrial environments, the Sherpa XT Lite features an IPX4 rating, protecting it against rain and water splashes. It can operate on inclines up to 10% gradient with deration, increasing its versatility in diverse warehouse layouts.

Designed for continuous operation, the Sherpa XT Lite has a swappable 48V NMC Lithium-Ion battery, minimizing downtime during multi-shift operations. Its impressive 8-hour run time supports long operational periods, making it perfect for full shift coverage in material handling facilities.

The Sherpa XT Lite’s auto-unhitch functionality streamlines the process of connecting and disconnecting material handling trolleys, significantly improving operational efficiency. Its ability to tug up to three carts simultaneously increases productivity by moving multiple material loads in a single trip.

Adaptability is key in diverse warehouse settings, and the Sherpa XT Lite excels with its custom hitch and trolley design. This feature allows it to adapt to existing material handling equipment, minimizing the need for infrastructure changes. It operates effectively in temperatures from +41°F to +113°F (+5° to +45°C) and in various lighting conditions, including twilight and dark mode operations, ensuring consistent productivity across diverse indoor and outdoor settings. Moreover, its natural navigation capability eliminates the need for expensive modifications to existing warehouses.

In line with Industry 4.0 trends, the Sherpa XT Lite is fully compatible with ERP systems, allowing seamless coordination with inventory management and order fulfillment processes. This integration enables data-driven decision-making in material handling operations, optimizing overall efficiency.

The Sherpa XT Lite adheres to crucial industry standards, including ISO 3691-4 for industrial truck safety and VDA 50-50 for fleet management compatibility. It can also connect with Ati Motors’ own Fleet Manager, which optimizes material flow and provides valuable insights into handling operations.

Ati Motors’ unique combination of advanced AI capabilities and robotics, along with a deep understanding of manufacturing environments, positions them perfectly to lead the next wave of industrial automation. The Sherpa XT Lite is set to redefine material handling operations, offering unparalleled efficiency, safety, and adaptability. As industries continue to embrace automation, the Sherpa XT Lite is poised to be at the forefront of this transformation, aligning with Ati Motors’ mission to revolutionize factory and warehouse operations through AI-based autonomous robotic solutions.
