On January 1, 2013, the new subsidiary of META– Regalbau of Arnsberg, Germany – META Storage Solutions – has started operations in Suwanee, Georgia.  The leading manufacturer of storage technology systems thus expands its international sales activities into the American market.  Headquartered in Arnsberg, Germany and founded in 1896 META is focused on the development and production of professional warehouse technology systems.  From consulting, to planning, and to assembly and maintenance of shelving and racking systems, META develops individual warehouse solutions for its customers. The META Quick-Ship Program – available from the META warehouse in Duluth, Georgia – includes the versatile META CLIP boltless rack which can be used to implement warehouse solutions in many different industries and applications. The two system components, frame and shelves, form complex rows of racks for storage up to three stories high.  Also available for immediate shipment in the US-market is the META Wide-Span racking system for bulky materials with a light to moderate load.  Completing the initial line-up of products in this program is the META COMPACT boltless office shelving program. Quantities for larger projects and non-standard items (i.e. pallet racks, cantilever racks) are also available to US customers and will ship directly from META’s production facility.

Oliver Bleich, the newly appointed CEO of the US operations, comes to META with a background in launching and marketing German premium products in the US, as well as several years of experience as a market entry consultant for German companies and US municipalities.  “To be close to the US customer base and to establish the brand META in the US market are our primary goals”, states Bleich.  With the help of experienced independent manufacturer’s representatives, META will distribute its products through a select network of dealers and distributors with an initial focus on the Southern, Mid-Western and Northeastern regions.
