Continental Commercial Vehicles & Aftermarket, a leading worldwide innovator of instrumentation solutions for commercial, transportation, off highway, agricultural vehicles and stationary equipment has just released its new VDO Centrobase 350 and 400 Instrument Clusters. These new five-inch diameter, J1939 instrument systems are designed to meet a wide variety of applications and can be easily adapted for customer-specific needs and readily expanded to accommodate changing requirements. They are built with a robust and flexible design that makes them ideal for use in construction, farming and forestry equipment. Both instruments accept CAN, analog and digital engine inputs and present the data on both the central display along with traditional analog style pointers and multiple tell tales. The dials can be adapted to meet individual customer specifications for scales, symbols and design.

Centrobase 350 is a multi-function instrument that brings together the flexibility of a CAN instrument and the easy to read layout of an analog style instrument with traditional pointers for quick and easy identification of engine functions. It can support two frequencies and two resistive and four digital inputs. The instrument features a built in warning buzzer and can display up to seven different warning lights.  Reverse polarity and short circuit protection, IP67 water protection and temperature tolerance from -40F to 185F ensure survivability in all types of weather and operating conditions.

Centrobase 400 is a multifunctional cluster with a large, easy-to-read analog dial gauge, a max deflection angle of 210° and an LCD display. It can support up to 16 digital inputs, 12 analog inputs, and displays other information with up to 27 individual warning lights. Features include a 3-line LCD display, built in warning buzzer, over-voltage protection, high vibration resistance, IP67 water resistance and an anti-fog double lens.

VDO instruments deliver world-class quality and innovation and are legendary for their superb fit, finish and appearance, as well as rock-solid reliability. Continental builds every VDO gauge with the same precision and quality as the OE instrumentation it delivers to OEMs worldwide.
