The new 5.4-inch diameter vacuum motor from AMETEK Floorcare & Specialty Motors is designed with technology that allows it to operate 7dB and 10 Sones quieter than a comparable 5.1-inch diameter motor. In addition to an innovative fan-diffuser system, the motor features an improved motor lamination that increases its efficiency by between 30 and 40% and a novel commutator design that allows it to run cooler and reduces vibration. Overall, the new 5.4-inch diameter vacuum motor is more than a pound lighter than a comparable 5.7-inch version and half a pound lighter than even a 5.1-inch diameter model.
