W&H Systems, Inc., a full-service integrator of material handling systems that improve fulfillment operations and maximize warehouse efficiency, announces being named one of the 2014 Best Places to Work in New Jersey. This survey and award program identifies, recognizes and honors the top places of employment in New Jersey that benefit the state’s economy, its workforce and businesses.

“W&H Systems is a company filled with dedicated people that truly love their jobs and are focused on providing nothing else but the best materials handling equipment and project implementation that drives success within the supply chains of each client we work with,” said Donald Betman, President of W&H Systems. “The passion, teamwork and professionalism of our management team and employees are an inspiration, making it easy to come to work every day and collaborate with such a hardworking team of gifted people.”

“In addition to growing our business and serving our customers, one of our corporate imperatives is to recruit talented people and create an environment where they can thrive. By nurturing an innovative and collaborative culture where people with a variety of thoughts, ideas, and backgrounds come together, we’ve been able to build a successful company and a great place to work,” added Ken Knapp, Vice President and General Manager of W&H Systems.

The Best Places to Work in New Jersey program is made up of 100 companies split into two groups: 62 small/medium-sized companies (15-249 employees) and 38 large-sized companies (more than 250 employees). W&H Systems has been named one of the Best Places to Work in New Jersey in the small/medium category. W&H Systems was chosen for giving employees an excellent place to work and grow in their careers for the past 50 years.

To qualify, companies had to fulfill the following eligibility requirements:

– Have at least 15 employees in New Jersey
– Be a for-profit, not-for-profit or government entity
– Be a publicly or privately held business
– Have a facility in New Jersey

Companies from across the state entered the two-part process to determine the 100 Best Places to Work in New Jersey. Part one consisted of evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. This phase was worth approximately 25% of the total evaluation. Part two consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. This phase was worth approximately 75% of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking.

The award program, created in 2005, is produced by NJBIZ. NJBIZ, program sponsors and partners will honor this year’s 100 Best Places to Work and announce their ranking during an awards dinner and ceremony on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at the Hyatt New Brunswick.
