Tompkins Fulfillment Services announces Spinrite as its newest seller

Tompkins Fulfillment Services (Tompkins), a business unit of Tompkins International and nationwide alliance of best-in-class providers focused on delivering value and efficiency through distributed logistics, announces its newest client, Spinrite.

Tompkins is supporting Spinrite’s operations nationally in their Atlanta, Georgia distributed logistics location and outbound shipments have begun.

In early 2019, Spinrite acquired Coats & Clark, effectively doubling their e-commerce logistics requirements to support both their Yarnspirations.com and RedHeart.com online shopping sites in the U.S. and Canada. Following this acquisition, it was quickly realized that current in-house and outsourced logistics solutions would not meet their needs. After considering multiple providers, Spinrite selected Tompkins as its order fulfillment provider due to its efficient and effective distributed logistics operations, enabled by proprietary technologies and the t-Sort robotic automation system. Based on Spinrite’s online order expansion and high number of units per order, Spinrite strives for e-fulfillment operational excellence to best serve and retain its loyal customers, as well as attract new ones by more rapid deliveries of perfect orders from multiple fulfillment centers in both the U.S. and Canada.

“We will use our highly integrated network of people, technology and physical assets to help Spinrite manage their goods more efficiently throughout their supply chains,” said Jim Tompkins, CEO of Tompkins International. “We will provide value to Spinrite in the form of cost and risk reductions, process efficiencies, consistently reliable outcomes, technological innovations and customer service that are both highly responsive and proactive.”

Relative to today’s announcement, Liz Ridout, VP, Digital Marketing & eCommerce of Spinrite, stated, “Since beginning to work with the Tompkins team in June of 2019, we have been incredibly impressed with their logistics capabilities, timeliness and quality of the responses they have provided. Tompkins also did a great job of simplifying everything for us at every step along the way. We look forward to a long and growing relationship with Tompkins as the Spinrite business expands.”
