Crown Equipment recognizes dealers in Latin America

Crown Equipment Corporation, one of the world’s largest material handling companies, recently recognized its top performing dealers in Latin America and the Caribbean. Four dealers earned Ascent Awards for delivering outstanding sales and service performance results in 2014.

The 2014 Ascent Award winners are Marine Power Ltd. (Cayman Islands), IMEQ Dominicana S.A. (Dominican Republic), Lift Trucks & Parts, Inc. (Puerto Rico) and Momatt SA de C.V. (Mexico). This is the second consecutive year IMEQ Dominicana S.A. and Lift Trucks & Parts, Inc. earned an honor from Crown for overall performance. Crown’s Latin America awards program is modeled after the company’s North America award program that honors the company’s best branches and dealers for outstanding achievements in sales and customer satisfaction.

“We continue to experience growth opportunities in the Latin America market,” said Joe Ritter, director of operations in Latin America, Crown Equipment. “This year’s winners, along with the rest of the dedicated members of our Latin America distribution network, are strengthening our customer relationships and helping customers advance the productivity of their operations. I extend my gratitude for the hard work they are doing and look forward to another year of focusing on the growing needs of our customers in the region.”

One example of a consistent focus on continuous improvement came from Ascent Award winner Momatt when it launched the first Crown Demonstrated Performance® (DP) Service Training program for forklift service technicians in Mexico last year. Momatt service technicians will each spend approximately 80 hours at the Momatt DP Service Training center each year for skill development.

Crown Equipment operates a global service and distribution network that exceeds 500 locations in more than 80 countries. This includes the 20 company-owned branches and independent dealers that comprise the Latin American and Caribbean distribution network.
