Cary Hill head shot

Shoppa’s expands Executive Team appoints Hill as Chief Operations Officer

Shoppa’s Material Handling, a complete material handling, and warehouse solutions provider announced that effective immediately Cary Hill has been named Chief Operations Officer (COO). He will be responsible for the company’s overall strategy and lead the Operations, Accounting and Finance, Information Technology (IT), and Human Resources (HR) departments.

This major organizational announcement was driven by the company vision and adapting to customers’ challenges across applications with advances in forklift technology, automated solutions, warehouse products, and Toyota Lean Management (TLM) consultation.

“By integrating forklifts and warehouse products within warehouse automation, Shoppa’s is breaking the mold in a world where many companies have been using the same processes and equipment for decades. These archaic processes are no longer good enough for today’s fast-paced, e-commerce driven distribution environment. We are responding by delivering a more robust, integrated suite of solutions designed to help our customers automate processes and overcome complex challenges,” stated Jim Shoppa, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Shoppa’s Material Handling.

Shoppa continued, “Cary understands the changes occurring in our industry and has deep operational expertise that will help us make this transition successfully. I’m confident that his 25 years of leadership will prove beneficial to our customers, employees, and stakeholders as we take our company to the next level.”

Hill was most recently Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for MESA, a leading provider of products and services for corrosion control and pipeline integrity. Prior to becoming CEO, he held various roles including CFO and COO.

Under his leadership, MESA became one of the few 2-time recipients of the prestigious Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award – the nation’s highest presidential award for organizational performance excellence. He has also held other top-level positions at the Oklahoma Quality Foundation, Cisco-Eagle, and Six Disciplines.

“I am excited and eager to join the Shoppa’s team and bring my experience with strategic planning, quality management, organizational learning, business process automation, performance management, and measure driven improvement to the table,” stated Hill.
