Linda Dillman, chief information officer, QVC®, the global leader in video and e-commerce retail, has been appointed to the GS1 US Board of Governors. She will help guide the GS1 US strategy for driving the adoption and usage of the GS1 System of Standards in e-commerce to assist the industry in enhancing the consumer shopping experience while boosting e-tailer efficiency, revenue and loyalty. GS1 Standards are the most widely used information standards in the world and uniquely identify products, services and locations globally.

Ms. Dillman has served as chief information officer for QVC since January 2012. In this role, she is responsible for creating QVC’s global information technology vision and strategy in partnership with QVC’s global senior leadership. Ms. Dillman also oversees the management of the US and corporate information technology operations, and in partnership with the international leaders, helps set the direction of the information technology organizations in QVC’s other markets around the world.

Previously, she was the senior vice president of enterprise services/global functions information technology for Hewlett-Packard Company. She was also the chief information officer and executive vice president, respectively, at Walmart, where she worked for more than 18 years. A seasoned leader, Ms. Dillman was recently named to the Top 10 Women in Tech list by Chain Storage Age magazine and a 2015 Top IT Pro by the Philadelphia Business Journal. She has also been recognized as a Computerworld Premier 100 IT leader for 2014 and a Most Powerful Women in Cable by CableFAX magazine for the past two years. Additionally, Ms. Dillman was named to Fortune’s “50 Most Powerful Women in Business” for five consecutive years. She is also on the board of directors for Cerner, the leading US supplier of healthcare information technology solutions.

“Linda has been a visionary in transforming e-commerce and supply chain operations across the entire retail industry,” said Bob Carpenter, president and CEO of GS1 US.  “Her leadership and commitment to innovation will be influential as GS1 US continues to collaborate with industries that are seeking to address the growing consumer demand for an “always-open, always-on” seamless shopping experience across all fulfillment channels, including online marketplaces, mobile commerce and brick-and-mortar stores.”
