Group CBS expands Electrical Equipment Sales, Service into Colorado with Rocky Mountain Breaker Service acquisition

Group CBS, Inc., with commercial interests in electrical supply, field service, and engineering businesses throughout North America, is proud to announce the acquisition of Rocky Mountain Breaker Services (RMBS) of Denver, Colorado. The RMBS acquisition adds a sixth Group CBS location in the western United States.

Founded in 2001 by Kent Kraft, RMBS adds another unique complement to the Group CBS portfolio of companies. “The Rocky Mountain Breaker acquisition was a strategic move by Group CBS,” explains Bill Schofield, senior vice president of Group CBS. “With this move, Group CBS gains a local Denver presence, more power breaker skills, dedicated employees, and additional utility customers in the mountain region. It is a win, win, win.”

In its utility business, RMBS is an essential service provider to several power grids and systems. According to Schofield, former owners Damian and Julie Luna are excited about the new products and opportunities that Group CBS brings to the business and look forward to helping integrate RMBS into the larger Group CBS electrical equipment and service network.

“We expect more acquisitions will follow as Group CBS continues to implement its aggressive national growth strategy,” adds Schofield.
