Douglas offers enhanced DataTrac- battery monitoring device

The Douglas™ DataTrac™ battery monitoring device has been redesigned with a smaller, space-saving footprint and more robust, UL-compliant packaging that resists water and acid and provides added reliability in noisy environments.

We have enhanced our Douglas DataTrac battery monitoring device to better withstand the rigors of the warehouse environment,” explains Brian Faust, General Manager, Douglas Battery. “As such, our durable battery monitoring system can provide the accurate feedback that lift truck managers need to make timely, cost-saving decisions.”               

The Douglas DataTrac device helps lift truck fleet managers reduce costs and save time by optimizing battery performance. Compatible with every battery make and model, this monitoring device attaches directly to the battery to collect data about the battery’s usage, charge return, water level, temperature and equalization.

The Douglas DataTrac device — used in conjunction with the included Douglas Data Manager™ software — provides easy-to-read reports and actionable data to enable fleet managers to improve the performance of their lift trucks. By collecting and analyzing this data, fleet managers can: Manage battery life, maintenance and usage Ensure operators are charging and equalizing batteries properly Improve lift truck productivity Quickly and easily identify battery maintenance needs Save money and energy costs by tracking and managing energy usage and lifetime status of battery assets

Key features of the Douglas DataTrac battery monitoring device include minute-by-minute recording of voltage, current (with no shunt needed!), temperature, electrolyte level and energy throughput data Storage of up to 4000 event log records Easy installation on truck or battery Wireless data upload to PC via Bluetooth, with up to a 100-meter (238 ft) range External watchdog timer Douglas Data Manager™ software included Classified by UL to UL 583
