Daniel “Boone” Larsen set to cast into retirement after 30 Years in the Trailer Industry

Listen to this article

Daniel “Boone” Larsen, Felling Trailers’ Great Lakes Regional Sales Manager has been a part of the equipment industry for 40-years and will retire in early May 2021. Thirty of those years have been spent spec’ing and selling trailers; 19-years with Towmaster, and the last 11-years with Felling Trailers. Daniel “Boone” joined the Felling Trailers’ team in July of 2010 as the Midwest & Southeast U.S. Regional Sales Manager. He provided dealer support for 15 states spanning from Minnesota to Virginia to Florida to Mississippi. In the fall of 2014, Boone reduced his coverage area to the Great Lakes Region to provide more focused dealer support to the Felling Trailers’ dealer base in Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Minnesota regions.

In his time with Felling Trailers, Boone helped expand its dealer base and increase brand awareness. As the trailer sales increased, the facility and production team followed suit growing from 125,000 sq. ft. to 325,000 sq. ft. and a production team of nearly 300. “Boone has been a great asset to Felling Trailers since he joined the team in 2010. His vast market and product knowledge, experience, and dedication are greatly appreciated. We wish him well in his retirement!” said Nathan Uphus, Felling Trailers’ Sales Manager. Through the years, Boone played a vital role in the company’s involvement with the ARA (American Rental Association) and the local chapter MRA (Minnesota Rental Association), strengthening customer relationships through local chapter events and national events like The ARA Show.

“I have always appreciated Boone’s no-nonsense; say it like it is style. He has dedicated the bulk of his working life to the trailer industry. His expertise and vigor for the trailer industry have been exemplary. You have played a big part in what Felling Trailers is today. Thank you for your service Boone, enjoy retirement!” said Pat Jennissen, Felling Trailers VP of Sales & Marketing. Those in the industry who have had the opportunity to know and work with Boone also know he is an avid fisherman and hunter. Hence the selection of his official retirement date of May 7th, 2021, the week leading up to Minnesota’s fishing opener. “The week of the fishing opener will be the start of a new part of my life; the cell phone will be shut off, and not another trailer sales call will be taken. I’m glad to have had the chance to meet all the people I have along the way. Like my good friend Roger Magers said not too long ago when he retired from Felling, thanks for the memories!” said Daniel “Boone” Larsen.
