Yale receives a second Product of the Year Award for New Narrow Aisle Reach Truck

Listen to this article

In recognition of its next-level performance in high-density warehousing applications, the Yale® narrow aisle reach truck has been awarded its second Product of the Year accolade in less than six months. Plant Engineering readers named the NR/NDR series a Product of the Year in the materials handling category through a competitive voting process.

The win is further recognition of the new reach truck as a powerhouse tool for warehouses, coming on the heels of another Product of the Year win from Material Handling Product News and MaterialHandling247.com.

Readers of both publications selected the Yale Reach Truck for its productivity, ergonomics, visibility, and serviceability advantages. In competitive testing, the Yale reach truck outperforms leading competitive models in those four major categories:

  • Productivity – Moves more pallets, increasing productivity by as much as 7% per truck, per shift while using up to 20% less energy.
  • Ergonomics – Provides a flexible, comfortable work environment with up to 60% less shock and vibration to help maximize operator performance.
  • Visibility – Helps improve confidence, precision, and speed by providing operators up to 33% greater visibility through the mast.
  • Serviceability – Saves up to $2,500 per truck, per year in scheduled lifetime maintenance with simple and cost-effective service.

“High-intensity warehouses need to store and move more inventory, more quickly – and with limited space and labor,” says Brad Long, Brand Manager, Yale Materials Handling Corporation. “Our new reach truck helps warehouses do just that, with ergonomic and efficiency-enhancing features engineered for success in the high, dense storage configurations typical of e-commerce.”

The new reach truck is available in 3,000 to 4,500-pound load capacities, with single or double reach capabilities.
