Hess Auctioneers, LLC announces its tenth year as a leading truck, trailer and equipment auction company. Hess Auctioneers, LLC has seen steady growth since is 2007 inception. The company will commemorate the occasion with an anniversary auction scheduled for Friday, October 20, 2017 beginning at 8:30 AM in Marietta, PA.
Hess Auctioneers, LLC began operations in June 2007 when John Hess (Hess Auction Group), Phil and Roger Garber (GFI Transport), and Jim Germak (Jagtrux), recognized a need for this type of consignment auction in the Mid-Atlantic region. Since the company is conveniently located close to Harrisburg, Lancaster and York, the current site is convenient, secure and allows consignors to bring their equipment to the site in advance of the auctions so buyers can preview the inventory.
The early success indicated a demand for a public truck, trailer and equipment auction in the area. Seeing the opportunity, Hess Auctioneers added General Manager, Bill Troop, in September 2008. The company has grown from five (1)ring auctions to six multiple ring auctions which attract 800 to 900 cataloged items and 1000’s of skid lot items including transportation, construction and commercial related tools, parts and excess inventory.
The company has introduced “Hess Inspect”, inspection by a certified mechanic, onsite detailing service and transport of trucks, trailers and equipment. The company has upgraded its website to better serve buyers and sellers. Sales and office staff has been added to help our consignors through the process of selling at auction. Plans are in process for expanding the current property to increase our selling and parking spaces.
Hess’s continual upgrading of customer service reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to delivering great service to both buyers and sellers at the auction. “Our success is due in part to our focus on personal customer service and continually improving the auction experience” states GM Bill Troop.

To kick off its anniversary celebration, Hess Auctioneers, LLC will have a special 10-year anniversary truck, trailer & equipment auction on Friday, October 20, 2017 at the auction site in Marietta, PA. Chicken BBQ will be available for all on site registered bidders. Hess Auctioneers will be accepting consignments of trucks, trailers, dump trucks, construction/ag equipment, pickups, classic cars, ATVs, RVs, boats, etc. for this auction through Monday, October 9th.
