Decisiv, Inc., provider of a Service Relationship Management (SRM) software platform for commercial vehicle, heavy equipment, and industrial asset service management, announced today that its plans for 2018 include an ongoing investment in driving innovation that will address service event management challenges for commercial, industrial and manufacturing assets.

“In 2017, we made significant investments to continue revolutionizing how service relationships are managed across a growing number of markets,” said Dick Hyatt, President & CEO of Decisiv. “In 2018, we will continue to evolve our SRM solution into a transformative, action oriented, results driven, dynamic agent for transformational change, enabling service value chains in industrial markets on a global basis to become strategic, competitive differentiators.”

Decisiv’s leadership in driving innovation in the commercial and industrial asset service industries builds on the success of the Decisiv platform, which has become the industry standard for service event management in the commercial vehicle market. The platform is used today across over 4 million commercial assets, approximately 4,000 service locations, and 2 million service events per year. This is driving measurable results, which add up to over $1 billion in value creation for fleet owners, service providers and OEMs from reduced downtime and increased service throughput.

Decisiv looks to increase the value delivered to its partners through its Platform Services, Data Services, Blockchain and overall platform improvement efforts. The company has already committed several million dollars toward the transformation of its technology from a Software-as-a-Service to a Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) application.

This PaaS effort is built on a world-class cloud data infrastructure. Decisiv is fully leveraging the capabilities of Amazon Web Services (AWS), including Amazon Redshift petabyte scale data warehouse technologies, to support its cloud-based PaaS solution with the flexibility, scalability, and performance of the next generation of data warehousing technology.

The shift to a PaaS model, with the Redshift data capabilities, enabled the introduction in 2017 of Insite 2.0. The new visualization platform combines best-in-class big data technologies and Business Intelligence tools to enable highly valuable visualization and reporting. Insite 2.0 provides complete visibility into the service process, performance and results – from the enterprise level down to specific locations, fleets, or even individual service events. Insite 2.0 enables users across the entire service value chain to have the right information, at the right time, and the right granularity to make better decisions and drive better business outcomes.

Decisiv’s groundbreaking approach of connecting people, systems, and things industry wide through its unique cloud services, supports real time analytics and actions that enable our customers to drive uptime to levels that were not attainable before.

Along with on-going investments into its PaaS platform, Decisiv has created a new Platform Services group that is focused on the customization of the user experience based on specific market and customer needs. The organizational change is enabling key product enhancements to provide customers with highly configurable, differentiated, and brandable user experiences.

“We’re now actively expanding the application of our SRM solution to a range of heavy equipment and industrial markets,” Hyatt stated. “Decisiv’s platform is well suited to meet the application and integration requirements of heavy equipment and industrial markets so we’re enabling faster migration to new asset segments, including power generation, construction, marine, agriculture, and heavy equipment.”

With access to developer tools and APIs for custom development, enhanced integrations with leading commercial asset maintenance and repair services, Industrial IoT applications, and other 3rd party content, are key to the platform’s ability to capture information from a variety of sources, including connected assets. An expanding ecosystem of partners is also increasing use of Decisiv’s SRM platform across users, service providers, and OEMs.

“Decisiv drives real, sustainable Return on Investment by enabling our partners to deliver consistent, exceptional customer experiences,” Hyatt said. “Together we are transforming industries and preparing them for new business models built on frictionless service management and data analytics.”

To further that goal, Decisiv has launched a new Data Services business focused on leveraging the unique capabilities of it SRM platform. The new business is using Decisiv’s vast repository of commercial asset data, combined with the platform’s communication and collaboration capabilities, to drive incremental value for partners.  Decisiv’s Data Services is providing visibility, tracking, reporting and analytics; all focused on better, faster, smarter decisions and actions throughout the service value chain.

Decisiv has also joined the Blockchain in Trucking Alliance (BiTA). The consortium is developing standards for a common framework of applications that will revolutionize trucking industry businesses by simplifying the management of complex, high-volume transactions, enabling greater transparency, promoting the verification of secure data, and reducing costs.

In 2017, Decisiv’s accomplishments were recognized with a large number of awards for its revolutionary and ongoing accomplishments, including:
