Exide Technologies centralizes supply chain operations with BluJay Transportation Management

BluJay Solutions, provider of supply chain software and services powered by the world’s first Global Trade Network, announced that Exide Technologies has implemented its Transportation Management software. Exide is a global provider of stored energy solutions – batteries and associated equipment and services – for the transportation and industrial markets.

Exide adopted BluJay’s Transportation Management technology to integrate three North American business units into one platform and provide visibility across the business. Exide has seven manufacturing facilities, 13 distribution centers, and 66 retail branches in North America, with thousands of global customers and suppliers. The Transportation Management and Procurement solutions have enabled centralized control and data-driven decision-making in the first phase of a multi-year project to optimize Exide’s supply chain.

“BluJay has been a great partner to work with, and we’ve been able to improve our operations by installing the software,” said Andrew Mosteller, Director of Supply Chain Optimization. “The BluJay team has been there to help, and attentive and able to fix things as they’ve come up. Exide has better visibility of our supply chain and more centralized control than before we had the Transportation Management technology. With the system in place, we now look forward to improving future performance.”

“We’re happy to partner with Exide; they have terrific products, and they are one of the largest battery recyclers in the world,” said Tim Hinson, Chief Operating Officer at BluJay Solutions. “Our partnership shows the flexibility of BluJay’s technology to handle the distinctive traits of Exide’s supply chain. We look forward to building on our partnership with Exide and providing ongoing value to their fast-moving supply chain.”
