Wisconsin Lift Truck and Illinois Material Handling enhance forklift operator training

with virtual reality simulators

Wisconsin Lift Truck & Illinois Material Handing, one of the Midwest’s leaders in certified forklift training, expands its safety training portfolio to include virtual reality simulators for purchase or rent, to incorporate into customer training curriculums. Forklift operators experience realistic forklift controls, maneuverability and the challenges of moving product(s) and pallets all in a controlled environment with the use of VR googles.

With today’s limited workforce talent, companies must be ready to bring workers onboard whom are new to the industry. To get them up to speed quickly, it’s time to consider a new and innovative approach such as virtual reality.  Not only do VR forklift simulators enhance the learning experience of first time operators, they aid in correcting the bad habits of seasoned operators.

“Our customers find it most important to be able to educate forklift operators while in a hazard-free environment, and allow as much practice as needed before getting behind the wheel of the real thing. Not only is it a safer solution, virtual reality forklift training is multi-sensory… proving to increase retention while minimizing the time required to train.” said Tony Parsons, operator training manager of Wolter Group LLC.

Companies have the flexibility to purchase or rent full simulator units or portable desktop models, of which provide the necessary tools for an enhanced training experience. Rentals are available per day, week, and month, or on a long-term basis.

“We’ve had customers rent simulators to support company safety events or to enhance continued education & training meetings.  We’re excited to be able to provide the latest technology and solutions to ensure customer’s continued safe material handling operation.” said Kristin Lelewicz, chief marketing officer of Wolter Group LLC.

Wisconsin Lift Truck and Illinois Material Handling are the first authorized distributors of RVC, Really-Virtual Consulting, LLC a Service Disabled Veteran owned business. The Company employs both Navy and Army vets with a continued passion, commitment and dedication to excellence in the RVC solution as they did serving our Country.
