GS1 US supply chain visibility workshops provide best practices for product traceability

GS1 US will hold two workshops to assist foodservice, retail grocery and apparel/general merchandise organizations with learning the steps needed to identify, capture and share product information for supply chain visibility.

WHAT: The GS1 US Supply Chain Visibility Workshop will help supply chain and data professionals better understand the foundation of product traceability while creating a supply chain visibility plan for integrating GS1 Standards into their business processes.

DETAILS:  In this hands-on workshop, participants will be guided through the steps needed to achieve supply chain visibility to support a variety of business processes, including traceability, inventory and category management, data quality and more.

The workshop will focus on the definitions and uses of Key Data Elements (KDEs) and Critical Tracking Events (CTEs) as they relate to various supply chain roles. Workshop participants will gain a thorough understanding of how GS1 Standards are applied in a process flow and how they support supply chain visibility during a product’s life cycle.
