Listen to this article

Holland is relocating its headquarters to 700 South Waverly Road in Holland, Michigan. The move accommodates the company’s need for additional space due to its growing business. Holland is proud to remain in the community where it was founded and its roots are firmly planted. The new headquarters is located less than a mile from the prior location at 750 East 40th Street.

Boxes have been packed and moving has already begun. Operations are expected to commence at the new Holland headquarters on December 8, 2014. The move from a 50,000 square foot building to the new 85,000 square foot state-of-the-art headquarters will provide Holland with the space needed to operate more efficiently and better serve customers while providing space for future growth.

“In 1929, our original headquarters was the home of our founders, John and Katherine Cooper, where billing was handled by Kitty at the kitchen table. As their trucking business prospered, headquarters moved to West 6th Street and then moved again in the 1930s to an old canning factory on 1 West 4th Street and Central. In 1972, the 750 East 40th Street location became our home for almost 43 years. And now, we move to 700 South Waverly Road and set the stage for continued growth and success for the years ahead,” said Scott Ware, president of Holland.

Continued Ware, “Our new location will give us the room we need to better serve Holland customers. I thank every Holland employee, past and present, for helping to create the success that continues to drive our growth.”

Holland, Michigan leaders expressed their enthusiasm and appreciation for the transportation industry leader’s continued presence in the community, and for the fact that Holland headquarters is now occupying a facility described as a “signature local building.”

“The Holland organization’s decision to invest and grow in the Lakeshore Area is a great sign of the strength of our economy and workforce,” said Jennifer Owens, president of Lakeshore Advantage, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to economic growth in West Michigan. “We look forward to providing support to their growth plans and applaud Holland on this exciting endeavor.”

“Congratulations to Holland on the new location for their headquarters,” said Jane Clark, president of the West Coast Chamber of Commerce. “We are excited to see this building become the new home for Holland, a locally-grown company.”

Holland was assisted in this site search by Colliers International. “It was an honor to assist Holland in this significant facility expansion. This is another positive move for our local economy,” observed Kris DePree, president Colliers International.
