Industrial, Magnetics, Inc. announces exclusive N.A. distributorship

Industrial Magnetics, Inc. has announced an agreement with Flaig Magnetsysteme of Germany naming IMI the exclusive North American distributor of their FX and FXE lift magnet lines

Industrial Magnetics, Inc., a manufacturer of magnetic products to increase production speeds and operator safety, has announced an agreement with Flaig Magnetsysteme of Germany naming IMI the exclusive North American distributor of their FX and FXE lift magnet lines.

FX lift magnets are on/off, rare-earth permanent lifting magnets that offer high holding value in a lightweight, compact package. Each of the five lines in the FX family of products has been specifically designed to offer maximum performance based on the surface shape and dimension of the material primarily being lifted, i.e. flat, curved, angled, or circular-shaped steel parts in varying thicknesses.

The FXE on/off Perm-Electro line combines the cost-efficiency and safety of a permanent magnet for load handling with the controlled-release capability of an electromagnet. Pickup and release functions can be performed via the unit’s wireless remote control or can be activated directly from the magnet’s on-board control buttons. The FXE is ideal for lifting applications that require fast cycle times, as the operator is not required to touch the load during pick-up or release.

IMI’s strategic accounts manager, Peter Friedrich, states, “We are extremely excited to partner with Flaig Magnetsysteme to bring the FX family of permanent lift magnets to the North American market and to offer German innovation, construction, and durability to our customers. Five different styles are available – each one specifically designed to ensure maximum performance for a certain application, versus the ‘one style to fit all’ mentality that’s common in the marketplace today.”

Horst Flaig, CEO of Flaig Magnetsysteme, adds, “Flaig is very pleased that such a well-known and respected company as IMI will be representing our products in the US market. Their almost 60 years of experience in magnetic lifting applications leaves us no doubt that our products will be correctly applied to customer applications in the US.”
