Linamar Corporation’s (TSX-LNR) Skyjack division is delighted Korean rental company Prince Lift is adding new and refreshed Skyjack mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs) to their rental fleet in Yongin, following a trial purchase at the end of 2016.

“Refreshing our existing fleet serves greatly to manage our capital investment without compromising the quality and condition of the products we offer to our customers,” said Wooteak Lim, president of Prince Lift, which is based in Yongin. “The trial experience produced very positive results, which increase the rental value of our fleet. At the same time, we are pleased to make further investments in new Skyjack machines.”

The REFRESH program, provided by Skyjack Manufacturing Southwest in Glendale, Arizona, is an alternative option for rental companies to update their fleet while minimizing their investment. Through the program, Skyjack updates and paints the MEWPs to ensure they not only look new but also work well. It includes replacing machine components such as tires, control box case, batteries, as well as resetting systems and pressures to original factory specifications. The refreshed units also come with a six month parts and labor warranty. Models eligible for the program include: SJIII 3215/19, SJIII 3220/26 and SJIII 4620/26/32 electric scissor lifts.

Prince Lift is expected to deploy its fleet of Skyjack equipment to help with the major investment in construction of semiconductor factories in Korea.

Established in 2013, the Korean rental company currently owns a fleet of 1,000 scissor and boom lifts. The initial order of refreshed machines last year led to another purchase agreement for dozens of new machines and refreshed units in February.

“Our REFRESH program further demonstrates Skyjack’s focus on giving our customers the best return on investment in a market where quality and safety on construction sites are a top priority,” said Simon Cracknell, Skyjack Asia business development director. “We are glad to expand our partnership with Prince Lift and we look forward to bringing more value to their business.”
