Yale earns spot on Green Supply Chain Partner list for Lift Truck Power Suite

Yale Materials Handling Corporation announces recognition from Inbound Logistics as a green supply chain partner, making the publication’s list of 75 Green Supply Chain Partners for the eighth time. Yale earned a spot on the 2019 list for its Power Suite, offering the broadest range of power options across the company’s comprehensive range of lift trucks.

The Yale® Power Suite offers operations unrestricted choice of hydrogen fuel cells, lithium-ion batteries, internal combustion engines and lead-acid batteries. This provides supply chains with a solution built solely around their business and sustainability requirements, rather than a manufacturer’s constraints, like limited power options and certain power sources available only on a narrow range of lift truck models.

“With sources like lithium-ion batteries and hydrogen fuel cells maturing, customer interest is now about figuring out a solution that’s right for them,” says Steven LaFevers, Vice President, Emerging Technology. “Having these power sources available from the manufacturer, rather than third-party retrofits on select models, is an important step to growing adoption. Inbound Logistics sees the importance of this commercialization with their recognition of our power suite.”

At the ProMat trade show in April, Yale exhibited several lift trucks featuring a variety of power sources. A concept vehicle showcased the company’s next-generation power chassis, compatible with any motive power source, including hydrogen fuel cells, lithium-ion batteries, internal-combustion engines and more. The latest, highest capacity Yale® lift truck powered by lithium-ion battery, the Yale® ERC120VH, was recently recognized with a GOOD Design award for its combination of lithium-ion power and 12,000-pound lifting capacity.

The Inbound Logistics G75 list includes supply chain, logistics and transportation companies that exceed industry standards in criteria such as measurable green results, sustainability innovation and continuous improvement. For more information on the 2019 list, click here.
