AMH wants to remind its customers that its main products have high amounts of US-made parts.

Peter Brettner, CEO of AMH, stated: “While there are numerous options available for good quality hoists, finding one with significant American content can be a challenge. AMH has always believed in creating and supporting American jobs. This is why our LA and MA series hoists use US-made load chains; and why we assemble and test the hoists here in the USA.”

Hoists in two of AMH’s most popular product ranges – its LA series of lever hoists and MA series of hand chain hoists – include US-made load chain. AMH also assembles and tests them in the USA. The LA hoists are available in any lift length, in capacities from 0.75t to 10t. The MA hoists are also available in any lift length with capacities of 0.5t to 30t. Both are readily available to ship from AMH warehouses, even 20t and 30t units.

Many of these capacities can be retrofitted with self-locking hooks, which are becoming increasingly popular as users want to avoid OSHA citations for latches that come off during rough use. Although AMH’s forged latches are more durable than some others in the market, they are still more vulnerable to coming off compared to self-locking (positive locking) hooks; making them ideal for customers who desire enhanced safety beyond what a standard latch would offer.

Another common OSHA citation is for hoists being used with missing warning labels. AHM’s lever hoists come with stainless steel name plates featuring the required ASME/OSHA warnings etched onto them. AMH also offers overload protection via a one directional slip clutch that will only slip in the lift direction. This ensures that if an incident occurs, the load can always be safely lowered.

A leading provider of lifting and material handling equipment, AMH has also created a USA Content Calculator. This easy-to-use tool can be sent to you upon request from the AMH sales team to help clarify the domestic content of each LA and MA hoist. Depending on the capacity and amount of load chain, these hoists can exceed the threshold for Buy American Act product requirements.

AMH serves the North American lifting industry through a network of distributors and channel partners, ensuring wide availability of products and short lead times. It supports its distributors and their customers through its network of North American warehouses and service centers in Houston TX, Des Moines IA, Atlanta GA, and Portland OR.

“We are one of the only companies in the USA who can offer such a broad range of products with American content, from inventory – meaning shorter lead times and faster fulfillment,” said Peter.
