Appleton broadens LED lighting line

New Viamaster- energy-efficient, long life LED linear luminaires
Listen to this article

Appleton Group, a division of Emerson Industrial Automation, is bringing increased energy efficiency to hazardous locations with its new Viamaster Linear LED Luminaire, the latest groundbreaking addition to its expanding line of LED lighting fixtures. The Appleton Viamaster provides up to four times more energy efficiency than a standard HID or fluorescent fixture, plus it promotes lower electricity costs and greater reliability through minimal maintenance, and enhanced worker productivity.

The Viamaster delivers clean, high lumen lighting in areas classified as Class I, Division 2 by the NEC and Zone 2 by the IEC, such as onshore and offshore petrochemical operations, chemical processing plants, mining, waste water treatment centers, and pulp & paper manufacturing. With an IP66 and NEMA 4X rated resistant against water, the Viamaster can also be used with confidence in marinas or wash down areas

Installation flexibility, like rugged design, is a given with Appleton lighting fixtures. The new Linear LED can be specified in either two foot or four foot lengths with voltage choices of 120-277 Vac or 347-480 Vac and three unique lumen outputs to meet most application needs. In addition, its low profile design opens up new opportunities for installation in areas that previously could not accommodate overhead lighting due to height restrictions.

Maintenance is difficult in most industrial areas, but it can be especially dangerous in hazardous locations. That is why Appleton engineered the Viamaster to require less maintenance than standard fixtures by building in features like an easy-access hinge system to reach the terminal block and driver, along with fully replaceable parts, and captive screws that will not slip out of gloved hands and onto the floor.

The Viaaster provides a minimum of 60,000 hours of service life and is backed by Appleton’s exclusive five-year warranty.
