Appleton low-profile Mercmaster LED luminaire

Now for hazardous & ordinary industrial locations

With a profile of only six inches, the new Appleton Low-Profile Mercmaster™ LED luminaire boasts an installed depth that is approximately 25 percent less than its nearest competitor. Appleton is offering this new luminaire in designs engineered for both hazardous location and ordinary locations so more industrial facilities can lower energy costs and increase safety, especially where greater clearance levels are required. They can deliver up to 5,000 lumens of uniformly distributed light for maximum worker productivity and safety.

Mercmaster LED Low-Profile luminaires yield superior performance in areas with ceiling heights up to 15 feet or where OSHA regulations limit the use of ladders, resulting in lower mounting heights for fixtures.

Transitioning from HID to LED When maintenance and electricity are combined, traditional lighting costs in industrial facilities approach $1 per square foot annually. Since the new Appleton luminaries consume 65 percent less energy than a standard HID fixture, they are especially valuable in transitioning industrial facilities from HID to LED. Benefits such as lower wattage, longer life and suitability to energy-saving controls also make Mercmaster LED Low-Profile luminaries’ value proposition extremely compelling with its payback period of approximately two to four years.   Additional cost savings are achieved because Mercmaster LED Low-Profile luminaries maintain the same look and feel as the original Appleton Mercmaster™ HID version by using identical housings and mounting hoods. This smart engineering direcly translates into significant savings in retrofit time, labor and labor costs. Four replaceable globe alternatives — clear glass, clear polycarbonate, diffused polycarbonate and prismatic glass refractor — allow engineers to choose the perfect lighting solution.   Hazardous location versions are certified for Class I, Div 2 and Zone 2, and Class II, Div 1 & 2 applications, wet and marine outside conditions (NEMA 3R, 4 and 4X) and IP66. Ordinary location models can be deployed in wet and marine locations and other harsh areas not subject to hazardous gasses and dusts, such as storage areas, parking garages and food/beverage processing.
Appleton distributors and customers now have a broader range of LED options. In addition to this new low-profile, lightweight series, Appleton offers its Mercmaster™ III, Code*Master, Viamaster and Areamaster families of LED luminaires that fit a wide scope of installation needs for almost any industrial or hazardous application.
