Aussie Eziloader trailer wins Vic WorkSafe Award

Ron Mileham and Perry Carter decided to join forces to produce a ‘different’ trailer. One that loads and unloads at floor level.

No need to use a forklift or manually handle products onto the trailer or to grapple with ramps that can move with potentially disastrous results to persons and plant.

Ron had problems loading low clearance walkie stackers onto a conventional trailer for demonstrating at his clients premises. He used ramps that were unsafe, and the low structure meant that product was getting scraped underneath, plus the fact that each unit weighed over 300 Kgs, making this a tricky operation.

The Eziloader Trailer however, allows the stacker to be pushed on with no effort, and more importantly unloaded without the need for a forklift.

The possibilities are endless. Let’s say you are a bakers oven manufacturer and you need to deliver a new unit to a shopping mall, simply drive into the car park, push the unit on wheels (or with a hand pallet truck) out of the trailer at ground level, and straight into the bakery.

You want to start a business? The Eziloader can pick up and deliver heavy motorbikes or deliver those urgent couple of pallets, or the local nursery needs a batch of large trees  delivered directly to a home. The Eziloader and one driver can do it all.

The team at Eziloader have also commissioned an All Terrain Powered Pallet Truck to fit the trailer, so pallets of mulch can literally be driven up your drive and deposited at your garden gate.

There are trailers that either lower to the ground or are sloped or are off centre balanced. But very few in the world lower down in their own footprint.

After showing the Eziloader at Farm World, where 60,000 visitors poured in to view both traditional and new rural implements, ideas and inventions, the Eziloader Trailer was entered into the Victorian WorkSafe Awards, where it won the Trophy for best OHS Invention of the Year, at a glittering ceremony at the Crown Palladium in Melbourne recently.
