When you need a durable hoist ideal for use on production lines, assembly workstations or anywhere precision lifting and load control is required, choose the new CM ShopStar VS electric chain hoist from Columbus McKinnon Corporation, a designer, manufacturer and marketer of material handling products, systems and services. Designed and built for industrial applications, the CM ShopStar VS features a high, H4-plus duty cycle and compact design.

The ShopStar VS is a superior alternative to air hoists. With lower operating and installation costs, the ShopStar VS is more energy efficient and requires less downtime for maintenance. In addition, this new electric chain hoist offers cleaner and quieter operation with more responsive controls than an air hoist.

The ShopStar VS features a lifetime-lubricated gear train, a fully enclosed hoist frame designed to protect the hoist motor from environmental contamination and an industry-leading lifetime warranty.

“The CM ShopStar VS offers high performance in a compact package,” said Jeff Armfield, Executive Director, Global Product Strategy and Product Development. “The true variable speed operation and high-duty-cycle capability provide operational flexibility required for demanding applications.”

The CM ShopStar VS beats the competition with an H4-plus duty cycle, more than 300 motor starts per hour and Class F motor insulation for heavy-duty use. The ShopStar VS is available in capacities from 250 to 1,100 lbs. and features speeds up to 63 feet per minute.

The VS also features a thermally protected hoist motor and a rugged, cast-aluminum alloy hoist frame and body with an epoxy-powder-coat finish. With single- and three-phase voltage options, the ShopStar VS can be configured to a variety power supplies.
