FleetPal is emerging as the trucking industry’s preferred partner for maintenance and repair

FleetPal.io just announced major milestones on the path to developing the premier fleet maintenance tool for small- and mid-sized trucking companies in North America and around the world. The first half of 2020 has been marked by both overwhelming challenges and outstanding opportunities. FleetPal has made progress toward its ultimate vision both despite and because of the events disrupting global logistics and transportation.

As fleets around the world confront the numerous challenges presented by simultaneous health and economic crises, they need effective tools to help them overcome these obstacles. FleetPal Connect focuses on managing maintenance needs and improving communication within internal teams as well as with external service providers. FleetPal members and the network of service providers who use the platform to connect with trucking industry clients have been discovering additional ways to use these tools to ensure the safety of their teams and enhance productivity and profitability at the same time.

The VMRS Code system, developed by the American Trucking Association, is the foundation of the FleetPal equipment maintenance function. VMRS codes are the key to error-free and efficient communication between different departments in an organization or with outside vendors. Earlier this year, FleetPal received high praise from industry leaders for the innovative, robust, and scalable use of the VMRS codes in the FleetPal Connect platform. The team continues to work with the membership to develop customized and bespoke solutions tailored to every sector of the industry and every geographic region.

The platform that FleetPal has developed is a powerful tool for managing all of the moving parts that make up the day-to-day operations of a small- to mid-sized fleet. But the true power of FleetPal lies in the ability to connect individuals, departments, and organizations so that their combined efforts become more effective and more efficient. The FleetPal network has grown to include more than 1,000 individual companies and more than 6,000 service providers. The platform is getting attention from the premier national and international organizations that do the work that takes care of drivers and equipment.

Like many of the companies in our industry, FleetPal has spent the first half of 2020 trying to balance the competing demands of maintaining focus on the long-term vision and the immediate demands of responding to the challenges of the COVID-19 crisis. In many ways, the FleetPal Connect tool has proven to be just what the doctor ordered for small- and mid-sized fleets who are looking for tools to help them weather the storm. FleetPal is committed to doing everything it can to serve the industry during this difficult period.
