Jump Technologies revolutionizes materials management for healthcare

Jump Technologies® announced that it is bringing its market leading inventory management solution, JumpStock™, to the healthcare industry. JumpStock, the first easy-to-implement and use cloud-based materials management solution for the healthcare industry, can be up and running in less than one week and eliminates non-compliant use with a combination of convenient devices, including key fob barcode scanners, smart phones and tablets.

Jump Technologies President and CEO John Freund made the announcement at the Association for Healthcare Resource and Materials Management (AHRMM) conference and exhibit, July 28-31 at the San Diego Convention Center, where the company is exhibiting in booth 325. “JumpStock solves the biggest issues facing the healthcare industry’s adoption of a materials management solution — a complicated, long implementation process, non-compliant use and high cost,” said Freund. “In addition to being able to implement this solution in under a week for most facilities, JumpStock requires virtually no training, enabling quick adoption.”

JumpStock’s easy-to-use key fob barcode scanners are compact enough to wear on a lanyard, which makes it simple and quick for staff to use, helping reduce inadvertent, costly errors. Freund added, “Studies show that nurses typically spend about 10 percent of their day on supply-related tasks. With JumpStock, that time spent managing supplies is reduced, allowing staff to redirect more time to patient care.”

In addition to providing more accurate materials management, JumpStock reduces costs associated with processing orders, ensures compliance with purchasing contracts, reduces inventory carrying costs, frees up facility space, cuts waste associated with expiring products and eliminates stock-outs and overstocks. JumpStock is also fully functional on any iOS or Android based smart device deployed throughout the facility. This mobile technology enables staff to create orders, take inventory, receive orders and accomplish other materials management related tasks in any area of the hospital or clinic.

“We had JumpStock up and running in just three days, and our lab technicians started using it immediately,” said California Stem Cell, Inc. Lab Coordinator Preston Switzer. “It took me less than five minutes to teach the team how to use a barcode scanner and how to create orders on the fly with their cell phones. They no longer have to wait for me; they can create their own cart for me to include in our standard order, or email/fax the order immediately for items that are needed ASAP.”

Named by Forbes as one of the five best inventory applications, JumpStock replaces costly, time-consuming pen-and-paper processes with leading-edge technology, bar-code scanners and smart devices that provide real-time information and insight into materials management/replenishment activity. In contrast to more costly, complicated-to-use solutions, JumpStock requires no expensive software or hardware, no maintenance fees and only minimal training, making it the solution with the lowest total cost of ownership.
