Larson Electronics, a company that specializes in industrial grade lighting solutions, announced the release of a 40-watt low profile LED light fixture approved for Class 1 Division 2 hazardous locations, while also carrying an ATEX Zone 1 & 2 rating, as well as PSE, and SAA certifications.

The HAL-LED-CPR-C-40 hazardous location LED light fixture from Larson Electronics is a low profile fixture that provides operators with a powerful and energy efficient alternative to metal halide luminaries. This Class 1 Division 2 hazardous location LED light fixture provides 4,000 lumens of light while drawing only 40 watts of power. This low profile LED light fixture is constructed of durable die cast aluminum and comes with a tempered glass lens which provides protection for the twenty-four individual LEDs that offer high-quality light in a 120° beam spread. This light fixture is rated for 100,000 hours of lamp life and is an excellent upgrade option when replacing older fixtures. This fixture is mounted to the wall or ceiling using an included adjustable bracket and may also be pendant mounted for applications that require the fixture to be suspended from the surface. This Class 1 Division 2 fixture is terminated with a ten foot 16/3 SOOW cable with flying leads for connection to a 90-305 volt AC power source.

“Larson’s new hazardous location light fixture is ideal for refineries, storage facilities, gas and oil facilities, and other facilities where hazardous materials have the potential to exist,” said Rob Bresnahan, CEO. “Featuring a compact form factor, this fixture is ideal for upgrading bulky, high maintenance cost metal halide light fixtures that are located in a hazardous location.”
