Longtime supplier of explosion proof and industrial grade lighting equipment Larson Electronics announced the release of a 37.5 KVA power distribution panel system that converts 480 volts AC single phase to 120 volts AC single phase.

The MGS-37.5KVA-20X120-2X240 power distribution system from Larson Electronics provides a safe and effective way for operators in industrial settings to tap into and utilize power sources independently of the work area. This unit is designed to operate with 480 volts AC single phase which is then stepped down to 120 volts AC single phase. This transformer makes 120 volts available via twenty GFCI protected receptacles, each protected by a dedicated circuit breaker. Twenty feet of Type-W cable connects line-in power to a fusible breaker with an ON/OFF disconnect switch which controls current to the 37.5 KVA, 480 volt single phase transformer. Unlike many portable power distribution boxes made of plastic and utilizing thin gauge, low grade metals in their construction, this unit is designed and ruggedly constructed to withstand demanding conditions and heavy duty industrial applications. The transformer is mounted to a 3/16” thick carbon steel mounting platform and the load and distribution assembly is mounted onto a rugged 2” square steel frame with rectangular carbon steel skid pockets and a top mounted eyelet to allow for easy transport. This unit incorporates NEMA 3R panels and is ideal for use in applications such as plant maintenance, plant turnarounds, shows and exhibits and marine applications. These power distribution systems are often used in applications where external power sources are often necessary.

“Larson Electronics manufactures custom power distribution systems to meet customer specifications,” said Rob Bresnahan. “If this particular unit doesn’t meet your requirements, please call us today and discuss those with one of our representatives.”
