Raymond Handling Concepts Corporation (RHCC), a materials handling equipment supplier in Northern California and the Northwest, announced today this year’s Pink Pallet Jack Auction has closed, with the final bid at $4,500.  The winning bid for the Raymond 8210 Walkie Pallet Truck, painted the iconic Breast Cancer Awareness pink, was placed by J and K Trucking.   To raise additional funds, the company will continue donating $10 from every pallet truck sold in the month of October and accepting donations on the company’s Material Handling Store.  All proceeds will benefit The Tina Turner Memorial Foundation and Northwest Hope and Healing.

At Raymond Handling Concepts Corporation it’s never just business, it is personal and the entire company works as a team to support the community.  The staff at the company’s Auburn Headquarters proudly wore pink to support the Breast Cancer Awareness Month during their Oct. 13 Open House.

“Working with our partners and customers, I am so pleased that we were able to raise more than $6,915 for Breast Cancer charities both locally and in the town I grew up in, of Greene, NY.  Many of our customers and vendors have offered to help with the Pink Pallet Jack Project next year – which means greater participation and a greater positive impact for those affected by the disease,” said Steve Raymond, President of Raymond Handling Concepts Corporation.  “I invite everyone to join us in this initiative. I believe that this little pink electric pallet jack can move the world into action.”

Open House
On October 13, RHCC hosted an Open House in Auburn, where they put the Pink Pallet Jack on display and invited community leaders and businesses to continue their efforts during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In addition to the 72 local businesses in attendance, RHCC’s vendor partners, All-Battery, Cascade Corp, Enersys, Tennant and Wildeck all participated and donated funds to help the cause.  One visitor of note was Largo Wales, a City Councilor member in Auburn. She purchased a pink ribbon from the Materials Handling Store and donated $100 to the Pink Pallet Jack Project. Also in attendance was Carol Ann Witschi, a candidate running for city council of Renton.

As a reminder of just how many people are affected by this disease, 32 RHCC employees each donated $20 to the pink pallet jack project and wore a pink pallet jack project pink shirt in honor of the day.
