RGIS launches universal self-scan software for retailers

RGIS has introduced U Count, an innovative SaaS technology that allows retailers to access its market-leading inventory tools directly from their own devices.

This groundbreaking software is designed to transform in-house inventory, making it more accurate, efficient, and highly cost-effective. Tailored to the needs of small to medium businesses – including departments in larger retailers or independent store owners – it represents the most advanced solution on the market.

U Count enables retailers to enhance their inventory capabilities using any Android or iOS handheld device. For added flexibility, RGIS also offers the option to hire handheld devices and its revolutionary quantity figure laser, which provides precise counting and is fully compatible with mobile devices.

Commenting on the launch, Asaf Cohen, Global Chief Executive Officer at RGIS, said: “We’re thrilled to introduce U Count to the market, providing retailers with an adaptable and innovative solution to meet their inventory needs.

“This self-scan software gives businesses the ability to conduct efficient and professional-grade inventory management in-house, making it particularly valuable for smaller retailers or those where outsourced professional solutions are usually unfeasible due to cost.

“With U Count, our aim is to make RGIS’s leading technology accessible to all retailers, regardless of their stock levels or size, empowering them with the right tools to streamline their processes and enhance inventory accuracy. At RGIS, we believe U Count delivers just that – a universal, intuitive solution designed to meet retailers’ inventory requirements comprehensively.”

U Count also provides a fast yet powerful solution for retailers requiring inventory services at short notice. While larger outsourced services typically need substantial lead times to deploy a skilled workforce, retailers often face situations where a quicker turnaround is essential – sometimes within a matter of days or even the same day.

With U Count, retailers can download and gain near-instant access to pioneering technology, or RGIS’s handheld devices with software preinstalled can be swiftly delivered to support the process. U Count’s cutting-edge functionality includes optional integration with RGIS’s figure laser, which leverages subitizing methodology to enable rapid and reliable inventory. The figure laser can be hired either with or without handheld devices, adding to the flexibility that RGIS’s U Count has to offer.

When paired with hands-free audio devices, users can take advantage of its innovative voice recognition technology, enabling verbal input rather than pressing the numerical buttons, for faster and more efficient inventory capabilities.

With the launch of U Count, RGIS strengthens its ability to support retailers of all sizes. From its fully outsourced service, which leverages a highly trained team and industry-leading equipment, to its flexible self scan solution for efficient in-house inventory, RGIS offers tailored solutions to meet every business’s requirements.
