UniCarriers Americas Corporation launches next-generation PD6 Series pneumatic tire forklifts

Extended product line of 13,000-22,000 lb. capacity pneumatic tire trucks designed for heavy-duty lifting and maximum productivity

Backed by the industry’s best standard, limited warranty, UniCarriers Americas (UCA) has announced the launch of its new PD6 Series (IC) Pneumatic Tire Forklifts. The PD6 next-generation Platinum Series replaces the outgoing G06 Series and is UCA’s most heavy-duty pneumatic tire lift truck with a 13,000-22,000-lb. capacity range.

The new series offers an extended model lineup, increasing from three to six models, to cater to bigger market segments. The lineup includes the addition of 6T low-power and high-power offerings and a 7T low-power model. Under the hood is a highly-efficient Kubota v3800 Tier 4/CARB compliant diesel engine with improved fuel consumption.

A large LCD panel replaces the G06’s mechanical screen, improving operator feedback. New standard features include wet disc brakes for reduced cost of ownership, a dual element air cleaner and a rear-view mirror. All models feature a hydraulic oil cooler that’s beneficial when using big attachments or employing heavy-duty applications.

In addition, the PD6 Series comes equipped with advantages such as a seat-actuated operator presence system with seatbelt and parking brake warnings and a 5-piece overhead guard that cuts replacement time by 75 percent. All standard features enhance operator safety and productivity, ensuring maximum forklift uptime.

“The PD6 is part of our continuous improvement initiatives,” said Mark Porwit, director of corporate planning for UniCarriers Americas. “We are constantly looking to offer our customers the products they need in every application, and the PD6 series is a great match for those with heavy lifting in multiple capacities.”

New optional features include:

  • 5-spool valve for increased functionality (Not available on FD100-4 model)
  • Increased tire selection
  • LED safety line light
  • High-capacity AC alternator 12V x 115 amp for increased uptime
  • LED lights for energy efficiency
  • Front and rear access-assisted handgrip
  • Pre-cleaner
