Cat Lift Trucks kicks off ninth year as official lift truck provider of 2013 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo-

More than 2 million people and 30,000 animals are expected at Reliant Park for the 2013 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo™ in February and March, and behind the scenes Cat Lift Trucks will provide the equipment and expertise, including more than 100 lift trucks, needed to prepare for the massive influx of Show-goers and livestock. In its ninth year as the Official Lift Truck Provider for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, Cat Lift Trucks and local dealer Adobe Equipment Houston, LLC (Adobe) will provide a broad range of internal combustion pneumatic tire lift trucks ranging in capacity from 5,000 to 36,000 lbs. to meet the material handling needs of the Show. Used exclusively throughout the more than 300-acre Reliant Park, the Cat® lift trucks will be used daily to unload trailers of every size and move tons of animal feed, lumber, food supplies, water, visitor guides, merchandise and more. The trucks also will facilitate setup and teardown of all exhibits and equipment needed for nightly performances, including the stage materials, platforms and audio visual equipment that allow the Show to host a star-studded lineup of country music and pop artists. Adobe technicians also will provide training for lift truck operators and will be on hand around the clock to service and support all donated lift trucks, demonstrating Cat Lift Trucks continued commitment to quality service. “As a Houston-based manufacturer, we’re proud to support our city’s world-renowned livestock show and rodeo and contribute to the immense benefits it brings to our community every year,” said Kent Eudy, vice president of sales and marketing for Cat Lift Trucks. “We’re honored we can play an important role in helping the Show run smoothly.” The Cat Lift Trucks scholarship program, now in its ninth year, will award a $5,000 scholarship to an exemplary Houston-area student pursuing higher education in a mechanical engineering or business-related field. The winner will be announced on the Cat Lift Trucks Facebook page on Monday, February 26. The 2013 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo will begin Monday, February 25 and run through Sunday, March 17.
