CMC Tire, Inc. and Continental Tire the Americas, LLC’s Commercial Vehicle Tire group (Continental) is celebrating their partnership with the opening of their first commercial tire retread facility in Las Vegas, Nevada. During the grand opening celebration held at the company’s new 25,000 square-foot facility, CMC Tire Inc., a full service tire dealer with three generations of tire experience, announced its intention to service both southern Utah and the greater Las Vegas area with new and retread tires. The retreads are made with Continental’s ContiTread™ premium retreading solution, which extends the overall life of the tire.

The new retread facility can produce up to 24,000 retreads annually and production capacity is expected to grow to 48,000 retreads annually. The facility will service more than 300 customers and create 18 new jobs.

Mike Morast, co-owner of CMC Tire said, “The partnership is critical for our aggressive growth plans and is perfectly aligned with ContiLifeCycle’s ™ aggressive growth strategy. With all new equipment that includes the latest retread technology, our partnership brings a proven retread product to the southwest market.”

ContiLifeCycle™, the umbrella for Continental’s retreading operations has already established a presence in the Americas. Since 2011, Continental has steadily built a network of servicing dealers.

“Our dealer partners in the ContiLifeCycle™ network will service customers who want to extend the performance of their Continental truck tires,” explains Paul Williams, Continental’s executive vice president for truck tires in the Americas. “They require retreads that look like new and run like new.  Our ContiTread™ products are engineered with the same compounds and tread designs as our new tires.”

CMC Tire and Continental are proud to partner and support local customers in the transportation industry with applications for their construction, regional and long haul application needs.
