Mitsubishi Caterpillar Forklift America Inc. (MCFA) announced that Jungheinrich has been named as a ‘Top Green Provider’ by Food Logistics magazine. Jungheinrich received this recognition for its commitment to developing energy-efficient warehouse products and solutions for the grocery and foodservice industries. “We’re honored to have Jungheinrich recognized as a ‘Top Green Provider’ in the food and beverage industry,” said Perry Ardito, general manager, warehouse products at MCFA. “The Jungheinrich brand is well-known for its development of energy-efficient warehouse products – with most Jungheinrich lift trucks operating up to two shifts on a single battery charge. This means a more productive work day for our customers in addition to lower energy consumption and a cleaner working environment.” Through its proprietary 3-phase AC technology, Jungheinrich’s AC-powered electric lift trucks reclaim otherwise wasted mechanical energy from braking and load lowering, and instead, convert it back to electrical energy that feeds back to the battery. Jungheinrich lift trucks also have a longer run time from a single battery charge, reducing hydrogen gas emissions for a cleaner working environment.
