GSG AMR adds Chris Meeks to Executive Management Team

GSG AMR, the asset management and remarketing division of GSG Financial, announced today the addition of Chris Meeks as SVP, Lessor Relations.  Meeks will be responsible for supporting current relationships and expanding AMR’s footprint, sharing veteran expertise with both equipment finance companies and end users to increase the economic value of their material handling and transportation assets. Meeks will report to President Andrew A. Bender and operate out of Atlanta, Georgia.

“Chris Meeks is a great addition to our team with strong equipment finance and asset management experience,” said Bender. “I’ve known Chris for nearly 10 years and during that time he’s demonstrated an ability to build strong personal relationships and deliver on his commitments.  We share a vision of a new type of asset management firm and he will help GSG AMR execute on that vision.”

Meeks has been a business leader in the financial services industry for over 15 years. Prior to joining GSG, he spent 17 years working at Lease Plan USA, Inc. where he held several positions including Director, Remarketing Sales and Director, Syndications. During his time at Lease Plan, Meeks secured several new relationships leading to record transaction margins. Meeks Majored in Business Management at the University of West Georgia with continued education in Finance and Asset Valuations.

“From lease originations, to syndications and end of lease remarketing, I am fortunate to have had the privilege to work on all sides of the equipment finance business,” said Meeks. “I have a unique understanding of how all these areas affect each other in a lease life cycle. I am truly excited about the creative value GSG AMR brings to our marketplace that has not existed until now.”

GSG Asset Management and Remarketing (AMR) provides a full-service approach to asset management for third party lessors.  From front-end residual support all the way through asset removal and remarketing, the GSG AMR turnkey solution helps equipment finance companies focus on their expertise – equipment finance.  Each service can be a standalone product or can be acquired as part a comprehensive solution. GSG AMR core services include, refurbishing, buying, selling, and renting previously owned material handling equipment.  GSG AMR also supports third parties with front-end residual analysis support, logistics, inspections, appraisals/valuations, and storage.  Their skilled technical team will provide repair and refurbishing services on forklifts, construction, and other industrial equipment.
