Herndon Products, Inc. (HPI) announced that it has received a 2012 Boeing Performance Excellence Award (BPEA). The Boeing Company issues the award annually to recognize suppliers who have achieved superior performance. Herndon Products maintained a Silver composite performance rating for each month of the 12-month performance period, from Oct. 1, 2011 to Sept. 30, 2012. This year, Boeing recognized 594 suppliers who achieved either a Gold or Silver level Boeing Performance Excellence Award. HPI is one of only 441 suppliers to receive the Silver level of recognition. “We are proud to be recognized by The Boeing Company as a valued supply chain provider,” stated Scott Herndon, Herndon Products President and Chief Executive Officer. “Our commitment to product quality and continuous improvement is reflected in the company’s strong growth and recent achievements such as the BPEA.” HPI supplies aerospace fasteners and associated kits to Boeing for various military and commercial airframes. HPI provided material that supports the C-17, F/A-18, F-15, KC-135 military platforms as well as the 737 and 757 commercial aircraft.
