Scott Bigelow joins Amberdata as Vice President of Engineering

Blockchain data company Amberdata is pleased to announce the hiring of Scott Bigelow as Vice President of Engineering. Mr. Bigelow will be responsible for leading engineering execution and development operations.

Scott brings 20 years of experience in enterprise application development with a recent focus on analytics, scalability, and blockchain architecture, to Amberdata at a time when the company is disrupting and defining the category for blockchain data platform, analytics and monitoring for digital assets.

“I’m excited to bring my passion for blockchain development, analytics, and developer tooling to Amberdata,” said Scott Bigelow. “With new complex production dapps being deployed, cross-chain communications coming online, and more advanced token standards gaining adoption, Amberdata is improving visibility and providing a platform which will be vital to the blockchain ecosystem.”

Scott’s involvement with blockchain technology began in 2013 with Bitcoin mining and library development and, since 2017, developing Ethereum Smart Contracts, security audits, and dapp development. Most recently, Scott worked on Augur, an Ethereum-based project released to mainnet in 2018, where he designed Ethereum data extraction tools, worked closely with Ethereum core development and contributed to EIPs and design discussions. Prior to Augur, Scott held data engineering leadership role at New Relic, a real-time insights and application performance monitoring software company.

“Scott’s enterprise chops combined with his experience in building next generation decentralized application like Augur, makes him the perfect addition to our team. We are excited to welcome his product vision and hands-on leadership as we evolve and scale engineering organization. He will absolutely accelerate our ability to deliver value to our customers.” said Shawn Douglass, CEO of Amberdata.
