UniCarriers Americas Corporation (UCA) executives will partner with Roosevelt University for mentoring and business forums. Several UCA executives are alumni of Roosevelt University, including James J. Radous III, president of UCA and Steve Cianci, vice president of sales and marketing for UCA. Both earned their MBAs from the Heller College of Business at Roosevelt and will continue to strengthen their relationships with the University.

Areas where UCA executives will offer their time and talents include mentoring business students, serving on the Heller College of Business advisory board, presenting at the Heller Business Forum lecture series and presenting to business classes.

“UCA is proud to employ several Roosevelt graduates besides myself, and we’re excited to be able to give back some of our time and talents to help shape the next generation of Roosevelt graduates,” said Radous. “Besides making the most reliable lift trucks, UCA aims to be a reliable member of the community; this is one more way that we are accomplishing that.”

Radous and Cianci hosted meetings with Dr. Joseph Chan, dean of the Heller College of Business and Juliana Nelligan, development director for Roosevelt, at UniCarriers’ Marengo campus. During their first meeting, Chan and Nelligan toured the UCA manufacturing facility and learned how forklifts are manufactured and designed to carry different loads.

“Julie and I sincerely thank Jim and the entire UniCarriers team for the warm welcome we received and the time spent learning about forklift manufacturing,” said Chan. “We look forward to working with these Roosevelt alumni, who are successful members of our area business community.”
