Emerson reduces LED Lighting retrofitting costs with Appleton Baymaster High-Bay Luminaire
By retrofitting HID high-bays with Emerson‘s Appleton Baymaster LED High-Bay luminaires, an industrial facility can reduce its energy costs by approximately 65 percent, as well as lower maintenance and replacement expenses, while improving assembly accuracy and potentially speeding up assembly operations. A few of the demanding sites where the luminaires excel are power plants, chemical plants, oil refineries, foundries, and wastewater treatment centers. Emerson designed the Appleton Baymaster LED with the understanding that replacing traditional HID or fluorescent high-bays with LED technology can be costly and difficult, especially in harsh industrial and Class I, Division 2 hazardous locations. Because industrial high-bay luminaries are heavy and often in hard-to-reach locations, two or more electricians are required to perform installations, leading to increased labor costs. This installation expense slows the return on a company’s LED retrofit investment. In contrast, the Appleton Baymaster significantly reduces labor costs with its low weight and patented Quick-Mount pendant system. One electrician using standard tools is all that is required to pre-wire the mounting hood, line the arrows up, and lock the Baymaster into place. Since reliability is the key to lower maintenance costs, Emerson gave the luminaire unprecedented resistance to corrosion, vibration, surges, thermal shock, and moisture. Mounting hoods and bodies are forged from copper-free aluminum protected by a baked epoxy-clad finish, electrostatically applied for complete uniform protection. The result is an industrial LED rated for 84,000 hours with a service life exceeding 200,000 hours depending on ambient temperature. The robust enclosed, gasket design ensures safe usage in hazardous areas where flammable gases and vapors may be present, or where dirt, dust, severe weather conditions, and high temperatures are encountered. Appleton Baymaster LED and Baymaster HL LED luminaires offer 9K, 15K, 19K, 24K, 30K, and 38K lumen levels in two color temperatures and three NEMA beam patterns. The luminaires can improve employee vision and alertness, reduce shadowing, and improve color recognition during the assembly process.

UL-Listed Omnidirectional LED Post Top Lamps provide up to 85% energy savings over Halogen & HID
LEDtronics® Inc. has announced its newest series of UL-listed LED Post Top Lamps that put out an impressive amount of uniform, omnidirectional and brighter light for their compact size, with much more energy efficiency and longer life compared to the old technology and larger post-top bulbs. Because they are thermally managed, these LED bulbs are UL approved for enclosed applications (-40°F to 113°F) and are perfect for easy, direct drop-in installation into existing E26 Edison medium and E39 mogul screw-based lighting fixtures. This series of omnidirectional post-top lamps are ideal for use in varied applications such as street lighting, outdoor parking area lighting, driveway and walkway lighting, security lighting, parks and playgrounds, railroad station platforms, garden and bay lighting, pendant and globe lighting, among many others. This LED19B series of LED post-top lamps come in a white polycarbonate body, offering long-lasting durability. They range in power outputs from 10 to 18 (E26 units) and 27 to 120 watts (E39 units), directly replacing old-technology incandescent, halogen, and metal halide acorn lamps that would correspondingly consume 18 up to 250 watts. Reducing additional energy consumption by bypassing the ballast allows the bulbs to operate in a wide voltage input range of 120 to 277 VAC. They come with a wide operating temperature range of -40°F to ~+113°F (-40°C to ~+45°C). The acorn bulbs direct an even, 360° omnidirectional beam of 5000K pure-white illumination, offering lumens ranging from 1,740 (10 watts) to 18,612 (120 watts). That translates into luminance efficacy of 130 to 166 lumens per watt. They also boast outstanding color fidelity, with a CRI greater than 80 that enhances color nuances. In addition, these lamps maintain 70 percent or greater lumen maintenance at more than 50,000 hours—a lifespan far, far longer than the equivalent halogen or HID bulb! Because LEDs have no filament, their solid-state design renders them impervious to shock, vibration, frequent switching, and environmental extremes. These ROHS-compliant, UL-listed LED bulbs contain no harmful mercury or other toxic elements. Unlike traditional halogen, metal halide, or high-pressure sodium bulbs, LEDs do not emit large amounts of heat and little to no ultraviolet or infrared light. Since LED lights are much more energy efficient than old-technology lamps, these bulbs are perfect for operating with an alternative or renewable energy resource such as solar or wind power in cold or warm environments. This new and versatile LED19B series of UL/cUL listed, omnidirectional LED post-top bulbs come with a 5-year LEDtronics warranty, and are available through LEDtronics distributors. Quantity discounts are available, as well as customized options such as “Made in USA” ARRA compliance, other color temperatures and voltages, and other colors.

LEDtronics LED Dimmable Canopy Luminaire an easy install for lighting applications
LEDtronics® presents a UL-listed, surface-mount, dimmable addition to its lineup of low-profile LED canopy lights for parking garages and other area lighting applications, both indoors and outdoors. Consuming only 45 watts, the luminaire replaces HID lights of up to 175 watts—an energy savings of up to 75%—offering an output of 5,000 lumens of pure white (5000K) bright illumination through a white, frosted lens. This translates into luminous efficacy of 111 lumens per watt. It operates on a wide voltage range of 100-277VAC, as well as a wide operating temperature range of -40°F to ~+104°F. The compact CNP000-PG-045WF has an extremely low profile, boasting a total height of only 3.3 inches. Its sleek, slim and round design makes it perfect for any canopy application, such as parking garages, gas stations, manufacturing, and factory floors, warehouses, loading docks, recreation areas, tunnels, canopies, entrances, walkways, underpasses, and many more. Even though the brightness of LED Canopy Lights is equal to or greater than the HID lamps they replace, they create much less heat in comparison, reducing air conditioning demands in indoor applications such as manufacturing and factory floors or warehouses. The latest LEDtronics canopy light offers a 135-degree wide beam and is dimmable with standard dimmers, thus making it California Title 24 compliant. Sealed in a die-casting profile for indoor and outdoor applications and suitable for J-BOX mounting, it is UL/cUL Wet Locations rated for weather resistance and is easily installed on walls or ceilings, without the need to be dismantled for setup. Both lightweight and rugged, it is made of one-piece, die-cast aluminum alloy housing and has a high-impact, UV-proof, white polycarbonate frosted lens. The luminaire is efficiently designed to dissipate heat and distribute light evenly, with minimal glare. Its solid-state construction renders it impervious to shock, vibration, frequent switching, and environmental extremes. This all-weather luminaire offers an extended LED lamp life of over 50,000 hours with lumen maintenance of over 70%, as well as maintenance-free operation, long-lasting durability, major energy savings, and reduced light pollution—all translating into reliability, ecological sustainability, and sizable budget savings. Since the luminaire is much more energy-efficient than old-technology lamps, it is perfect for operating with an alternative or renewable energy resources such as solar or wind power, in cold or warm environments. Other wattages and different color temperature options are available for qualified volume offers. A bi-level motion sensor option is also available, for increased energy savings. The LEDtronics UL-listed CNPR00-PG-045WF-W0-XPW-101D LED canopy light comes with a five-year unconditional U.S. factory warranty. It is available through LEDtronics distributors, and quantity discounts are available.
